Long Term Care
The Solomons Rehab and Care Center is an 87 bed community offering skilled nursing and rehabilitation services. Whether an individual comes to us for short-term rehabilitative services, long-term skilled nursing care, palliative care or respite care, it is our goal to provide the very best health care in the most compassionate and caring manner possible. We promote and encourage a homelike atmosphere and utilize a “Team Care” approach. This method of care involves the resident along with family members, physicians and other integral staff members to assist in planning the resident’s stay and to promote their highest level of well being.
The high quality and comprehensive care we deliver to our residents is a result of our association with leading doctors, therapists and the extraordinary skill and efforts of our staff. It is important to all of us how each resident is feeling each day, including how they look, how they eat, sleep etc. When we know what a resident’s “normal” looks like through our team approach to personal centered care, it is easier to catch and prevent episodes of heightened acuity including possible hospital stay. Our goals include keeping residents from needing a hospital stay.
We are proud to serve Medicare, Medicaid, Private and qualifying HMO residents.
Vibrant, fun and engaging activities are vital to stimulate life’s joys here at Solomons. Brain fitness and laughter is often an integral part of success for us. We encourage new, innovative ideas and pay attention to what residents enjoy.
At all levels, our meal and dining experience is second to none. Our Chefs plan meals for taste, vitality, and nutrition placing us ahead of our competitors. We are careful to get it right because the meal experience is such a vital part of our resident’s lives and experience at Solomons.

To provide a climate that enables us to demonstrate compassion and accountability on a continual basis to all residents.
Our foundation is based on the soundness of and adherence to moral principles and ethics. These include honesty, justice, and the inherent worth of each individual. This prompts us to demonstrate respect to everyone with whom we interact, and acknowledge his or her unique contribution. Our decision-making is guided by fairness, good judgement, and sound fiscal practices.
Each individual is an integral part of Solomons Rehab and Care Center. This enables us to demonstrate singleness of purpose and action, which will lead to loyalty. We foster teamwork, consistency, and continuity.
We strive to provide an atmosphere conductive to the effectiveness of our thoughts, feelings, and information. We actively encourage this exchange and are responsive to the messages received. We strive to solve problems, not just identify them. Education and training programs are key pathways for exchanging knowledge, expectations, values and skills. Recognition and appreciation for those who have gone beyond the call of duty is advocated.
The unique ability to conceive a new or better idea and develop it into a workable entity is regarded as an important skill that we seek. Innovation is critical to our success in todays rapidly changing environment.
We commit to the vision, mission, and values of Solomons Rehab and Care Center.
